Bulldogs Advanced to South Sectional Finals

The Canton Bulldogs took on the Whitman-Hanson Panthers at the John Gallo Ice Arena on Tuesday. The Bulldogs had won two games thus far into the playoffs, but this game was much different. It was a new building, a new atmosphere, and a new team. But that didn’t stop the boys from playing their game. Right off the very first draw the Whitman-Hanson goalie was getting peppered with shots. The puck wouldn’t exit the Panther zone and Canton was winning every puck battle. With just 21 seconds remaining in the first period, Lavoie finally got the party started after beating the goaltender high glove side. It was just another day at the office for Mr. Lavoie, as Chris had a total of four goals and absolutely dominated the front of the net all game long. Colby Ciffolillo and Donny McNeice also found the back of the net to build the lead up and generate the Canton crowd. Senior defenseman Ronan O’Mahony was very impressive, tallying four two assists and a career high in points during one game. Canton showed no signs of weakness or slowing down at any point and their hometown crowd was there to back them up. Canton rolled to a 6-0 victory and will take on Bishop Feehan back at Gallo on Sunday afternoon in the South Sectional Finals.
