The Canton High School boys ice hockey team began the season with two games against two tough opponents in Lincoln-Sudbury and Franklin. Despite leading in both contests, the Bulldogs fell to LS 5-4 in overtime and lost 4-1 in their home opener against Franklin.
Colin Blake and Jack Digirolamo scored their first varsity goals for Canton against LS, while Brendan Tourgee and Leo Owens rounded out the scoring in Game 1.
Several outstanding saves by Carson Eagles and an early goal by Tourgee against the Panthers were not enough, as four third period Franklin goals shocked the Bulldogs and the home crowd.
Canton will take on Barnstable at home in their next game on Saturday at 4:30 PM.
