Hagan, Bulldogs Top Barnstable 3-1

The red hot Bulldogs took their talents to the beach as they faced their biggest test of the season at Barnstable. Canton has yet to be beaten all season long but Barnstable has been very solid in their own rink. Right from the first drop of the puck the game was very entertaining filled with back and forth action on both sides of the ice. Barnstable scored first just four minutes in on a breakaway after winning a foot race to a loose puck. Canton answered very quickly when none other than Johnny Hagan went from goal line to goal line to score an excellent wraparound goal. After the tying goal the Bulldogs play better, but it didn’t show on the scoreboard until the last two minutes of the second period when Jack Connolly created a scoring opportunity by bringing the puck right to the net and finding Hagan out front for his second goal of the game. Half way through the the closing period the Bulldogs answered again with a put away goal from Tommy Vaughn. TJ McCabe set the play up after putting a puck towards the net so Vaughn could tip it in. It was Vaughan’s second goal in the past two games. The Canton Bulldogs finished off the last seven minutes in perfect fashion as Joe Cammarata put up another outstanding performance in the 3-1 victory.
