Hagan, Lavoie Shine on Senior Night

It was another big night for the Canton High School Bulldogs boys ice hockey team as the seniors were celebrated on Senior Night with a ceremony before puck drop. Moments after the ceremony, it was all business and another battle for the Bulldogs, as they took on Davenport rival North Attleboro. Chris Lavoie opened up the scoring with a great pass from John Hagan that found its way to the back of the net. Lavoie and Hagan connected again before the first period buzzer went off after John Hagan scored in the same area as Lavoie after Eamon Kelly won a puck battle. Most of Canton’s success came from scoring opportunities right in the dirty areas in the slot. Timmy Kelleher got in on the fun after catching a self pass and roofing a quick shot right over the goaltender’s glove top shelf. Lavoie and Hagan were not done, adding the fourth and fifth goals of the night for the Bulldogs. By the end of the night both players extraordinary nights were rewarded with four points each and another victory. Late into the game North Attleboro broke the shutout, but it was not nearly enough to have a chance to comeback in this one. Canton closed out a 5-1 victory as the seniors sparked on senior night. Joe Cammarata was once again phenomenal between the pipes as he continued his remarkable season.
